Jess Whaler is an emerging photographer and storyteller.

As the Creative Director of Yuluwirri Studios,Jess leads projects that honour identity, truth, and connection through a culturally grounded and documentary style lens.

With a background in journalism and radio production, Jess brings a documentary approach to photography.

Her work spans weddings, portraits, community events, corporate evaluations, and brand storytelling, always favouring authenticity over artifice.

A proud Gamilaroi woman through Sampson and Williams bloodlines with kinship connections to Biripi and Worimi peoples through the Leon family, Jess’ work is informed by cultural identity, resilience, and the power of representation.

She brings warmth, professionalism and deep respect to every shoot.
