Do You See What I See?

(ongoing project)

Black-and-white photographs exploring movement and stillness with a neurodivergent lens.

Blur and turned bodies protect privacy while expressing energy, vulnerability, and quiet reflection across domestic and coastal landscapes.

Do You See What I See?

Is a black-and-white photographic series exploring the tension between movement and stillness to reflect the sensory intensity, joy, and complexity of neurodivergent and First Nations lived experience. Grounded in an Indigenous worldview, the work frames diverse ways of being not as deficits and natural variations in the human spirit.

The images capture the inner world of neurodivergent children, whilst keeping their faces concealed to protect privacy in an increasingly exposed world.

By withholding clarity, these photographs invite viewers to engage with gesture, body language, and atmosphere rather than personal specifics, establishing safety and agency from the outset.
