JESS WHALER

PORTFOLIO

Jess Whaler is an emerging photographer and storyteller.

Having worked as a journalist and radio producer, Jess holds a deep commitment to visual storytelling.

As the Creative Director of Yuluwirri Studios, she leads projects that honour identity, truth, and connection through a culturally grounded and documentary style lens.

Jess brings a strong narrative sensibility to every project. Her work spans weddings, portraits, community events, corporate evaluations, and brand storytelling, always favouring authenticity over artifice.

A proud Gamilaroi woman with connections to the Darug, Biripi and Worimi peoples, Jess’ work is informed by cultural identity, resilience, and the power of representation.

She captures the quiet in-between moments that speak the loudest, bringing warmth, professionalism and deep respect to every shoot.
